Sarah Williams
(Hiawatha, Kan.), who is red-shirting this season, finished 11th overall and chopped 50 seconds off her personal best.
Bobcat cross country coach Dr. Johann Murray noted that there were some very good runners in the meet. Murray also said, “I was very proud of Kesha for her efforts, especially since she just jumped into cross country at the end of the season without any formal training for competition. She runs a lot, but had never competed before in her life.”
“Danielle set a PR (personal record) for the season so she was happy with her performance which is good leading into the HAAC meet,” stated Murray. He went on to say, “Sarah had an outstanding performance by running 50 seconds faster than she did at Doane. Getting in the 18's puts her in the top flight of women runners.”
Murray concluded, “We will continue our training and will get ready for the HAAC meet which will be held in two weeks.”
Peru State's final meet of the year will be at the Heart of America Athletic Conference, which will be hosted by Central Methodist University on Nov. 5 in Fayette, Mo.
