(Peru, Neb.) – Seven members of the recently crowned Heart of America Athletic Conference (HAAC) Post-Season Baseball Tournament Peru State College (PSC) Bobcats recently received all-conference recognition by a vote of the HAAC's baseball coaches.
 
Earning first team recognition were Jeff Eubank (Fort Pierce, Fla.), Jonathan Castillo (Paterson, N.J.), and Kyle Fredrickson (Omaha).    Eubank was the first team second baseman; Castillo was one of four outfielders noted, while Fredrickson was one of two catchers picked.
 
Recognized as second team honorees were three Bobcat pitchers.  Seniors Will Scott (Defuniak Springs, Fla.) and Tim Crawford (Omaha) were joined by junior Bryan Duncan (Seattle, Wash.) on the second unit. 
 
Gaining honorable mention was freshman Randy Santiesteban (Hialeah, Fla.).  Santiesteban is a shortstop.
 
Eubank was among the Top 20 in several HAAC categories for conference action including:  tied for first in triples per game (0.16); tied for first in total triples (4); second in hits per game (1.44); second in total bases per game (2.24); tied for second in total hits (36); third in batting average (.444); fourth in slugging percentage (.691); fourth in runs batted in per game (0.92); fourth in total bases (56); tied for fourth in runs scored per game (0.84); tied for fourth in total runs scored (21); tied for fourth in total runs batted in (23); tied for 13^th for total home runs (2); tied for 16^th in total doubles (6); 17^th in doubles per game (0.24); tied for 17^th in home runs per game (0.08); 18^th in at bats per game (3.24); and tied for 18^th in total at bats (81).
 In all games played, Eubank finished in the Top 20 among HAAC players in the following:  first in batting average (.424); first in slugging percentage (.727); first in runs batted in per game (1.22); first in total runs batted in (60); first in total bases per game (2.45); first in total bases (120); tied for first in total triples (6); second in hits per game (1.43); second in total hits (70); second in triples per game (0.12); third in home runs per game (0.16); third in total home runs (8); fourth in runs scored per game (0.92); fourth in total runs scored (45); fourth in doubles per game (0.29); tied for fourth in total doubles (14); sixth in at bats per game (3.37); and seventh in total at bats (165).
 
Nationally, Eubank is in the Top 50 rankings in the NAIA in:  11^th in slugging percentage (.727); 11^th in total triples (6); 12^th in runs batted in per game (1.224); 14^th in batting average (.424); 18^th in runs batted in (60); 21^st in total bases per game (2.449); 21^st in triples per game (0.122); and 43^rd in total bases (120).
 
Castillo was among the Top 20 in conference action in the HAAC in the following categories:  first in at bats per game (3.75); second in total at bats (90); tied for 12^th in total hits (28); tied for 12^th in total bases per game (1.71); 13^th in runs scored per game (0.75); 13^th in hits per game (1.17); tied for 13^th in total runs scored (18); tied for 13^th in total runs batted in (17); 15^th in runs batted in per game (0.71); and tied for 16^th in total bases (41).
In all games played, Castillo finished in the Top 20 among HAAC players in the following:  first in runs scored per game (1.00); first in hits per game (1.52); first in total hits (73); first in at bats per game (3.88); first in total at bats (186); second in total runs scored (50); second in total bases per game (2.08); third in total bases (100); tied for third in total triples (5); fourth in triples per game (0.10); fifth in batting average (.392); tied for fifth in total runs batted in (41); seventh in slugging percentage (.538); seventh in runs batted in per game(0.85); seventh in stolen bases per game (0.35); seventh in total stolen bases (17); tied for 16^th in total home runs (3); and 20^th in home runs per game (0.06).
 
Nationally, Castillo is in the Top 50 rankings in the NAIA in:  21^st in hits per game (1.521); 32^nd in total triples (5); 34^th in triples per game (0.104); and 35^th in at bats per game (3.875).
 
Fredrickson was among the Top 20 in several HAAC categories for conference action including:  ninth in total chances (162); tied for ninth in total doubles (7); tenth in chances per game (6.23); tenth in total putouts (141); tied for tenth in total runs batted in (19); 11^th in putouts per game (5.42); 14^th in runs batted in per game (0.73); and tied for 15^th in doubles per game (0.27).
In all games played, Fredrickson finished in the Top 20 among HAAC players in the following:  fifth in slugging percentage (.591); tied for fifth in total runs batted in (41); sixth in runs batted in per game (0.87); eighth in total chances (295); ninth in chances per game (6.28); ninth in putouts per game (5.53); ninth in total bases per game (1.72); tied for ninth in total bases (81); tenth in total putouts (260); tenth in batting average (.358); tied for 11^th in doubles per game (0.26); tied for 11^th in total doubles (12); 19^th in hits per game (1.04); and tied for 19^th in total hits (49).
 
Among HAAC pitchers, Scott was in the Top 20 in the following categories in conference action:  first in walks allowed per game (1.55); tied for second in total walks allowed (8); tied for third in total wins (5); tied for fifth in total batters struck out (43); seventh in batters struck out per game (8.35); ninth in total innings pitched (46.1); tenth in earned run average (3.30); tied for 11^th in opponents' batting average (.247); 14^th in hits allowed per game (8.55); 15^th in innings pitched per game (5.79); tied for 16^th in runs allowed (21); tied for 16^th in earned runs allowed (17); and 18^th in total hits allowed (44).
In all games played, Scott finished in the Top 20 among HAAC pitchers in the following:  tied for third in wins (9); fifth in earned run average (2.76); fifth in total innings pitched (81.2); sixth in total batters struck out (73); sixth in walks allowed per game (2.20); seventh in opponents' batting average (.228); seventh in hits allowed per game (7.60); ninth in batters struck out per game (8.04); ninth in total earned runs allowed (25); ninth in total walks allowed (20); tied for 11^th in total runs allowed (34); 12^th in total hits allowed (69); and 14^th in innings pitched per game (5.44).
 
Nationally, Scott is in the Top 50 rankings in the NAIA in total wins (9) which places him 19^th.
 
Among HAAC pitchers, Duncan was in the Top 20 in the following categories in conference action:  first in hits allowed (20); first in runs allowed (5); first in earned runs allowed (4); third in earned run average (1.38); third in opponents' batting average (.206); third in hits allowed per game (6.92); sixth in batters struck out per game (8.65); tied for sixth in total walks allowed (9); 16^th in walks allowed per game (3.12); 17^th in total batters struck out (25); and tied for 17^th in total wins (3).
In all games played, Duncan finished in the Top 20 among HAAC pitchers in the following: second in total earned runs allowed (18); tied for third in total hits allowed (50); fifth in opponents' batting average (.225); sixth in earned run average (2.79); tied for seventh in total wins (7); eighth in batters struck out per game (8.07); ninth in hits allowed per game (7.76); 12^th in total walks allowed (22); 16^th in total batters struck out (52); and 19^th in walks allowed per game (3.41).
 
Nationally, Duncan is in the Top 50 rankings in the NAIA in three categories:  25^th in total runs allowed (22); 39^th in total earned runs allowed (18); and 45^th in total hits allowed (50).
 
In all games played, Crawford finished tied for fifth in total wins (8) among HAAC pitchers.  Crawford had key wins against Graceland, Baker, and Missouri Valley in HAAC action.  In addition, Crawford earned the win in the Bobcats' championship game.
Earlier in the season, Crawford defeated Southern Nazarene, Friends, McPherson, and Mayville State – a game played in the Metrodome.  For Crawford, it was a season to remember having fought through numerous injuries during his career, including this season, which have sidelined him at times.
 
While earning honorable mention, Santiesteban finished in the Top 20 among HAAC players in conference action in the following categories:  third in home runs per game (0.17); tied for third in total home runs (4); fourth in batting average (.403); sixth in slugging percentage (.691); ninth in total bases per game (1.83); tied for ninth in total bases (44); tenth in hits per game (1.21); 11^th in total hits (29); 12^th in assists per game (1.83); 12^th in runs batted in per game (0.75); 12^th in total runs batted in (18); tied for 13^th in total assists (44); and tied for 18^th in runs scored per game (0.67).
In all games played, Santiesteban was in the Top 20 in the following categories among HAAC players:  tied for ninth in total home runs (4); tied for 11^th in home runs per game (0.10); 14^th in slugging percentage (.517); 17^th in runs scored per game (0.71); tied for 17^th in batting average (.342); and 19^th in total bases per game (1.51).
