(Peru, Neb.) – Gustavo Arcia, a Bobcat baseball senior from
Caracas, Venezuela, was named to the Heart of America Athletic Conference (HAAC) Baseball Golden Glove Team.
The Golden Glove honor is given to players who have exhibited superior individual fielding at their respective positions.
Arcia earned his recognition as the best fielding third basemen in the HAAC.
In 42 games overall, Arcia committed only five errors out of 86 catches/attempts for a .942 fielding percentage. He had 27 put outs, 54 assists, and was a part of four double plays.
In HAAC action, Arcia had an even better fielding percentage. In 20 games, Arcia only committed three errors in his 39 attempts for a .949 percentage. Arcia had 16 putouts, 21 assists, and helped turn three double plays against conference opponents.
