Peru State College Bobcat Preston Bruss (Bennet) was among the NAIA football players earning honorable mention recognition by BSN for his outstanding performance and accomplishments during the 2011 season.
 
Bruss had been previously recognized by the Heart of America Athletic Conference (HAAC) as a First Team Defense All-Conference and as a HAAC Defensive Player of the Week.  In addition, Bruss earned 2011 Omaha World Herald NAIA All-Nebraska First Team Honors.
 
At the end of the NAIA football competition, Bruss was among the individual statistical leaders in several categories including:  tenth in tackles per game (10.10), 29^th in sacks per game (0.60), and 42^nd in total sacks (5.5).
