(Peru, Neb.) – Peru State College (PSC) Athletic Director
Steve Schneider recently has announced the hiring of
Brett Hahn of
Nebraska City to serve as the Bobcats' women's golf coach.
Hahn is presently the Assistant Head Golf Professional at the Golf Club at Table Creek. He has served in this role since 2007. In addition, Hahn is an apprentice in the Professional Golf Association of America and is working toward full membership. Previously, Hahn was asked to audition twice for the Golf Channel's reality-based series “Big Break.”
This will be Hahn's first experience as a head coach for a particular sport. In 2002-2003, Hahn served as the assistant boys' basketball coach for the Nebraska City Pioneers. He had attended the University of Nebraska-Lincoln following his graduation from Nebraska City High School in 2001.
Hahn is excited about the opportunity PSC and Table Creek are giving him to serve as the Bobcats' head coach. He said, “Having worked with the Bobcat team off and on over the last several years, it will be great to serve as their full-time coach. I appreciate the College's confidence in me to handle this role and to Table Creek for allowing me to have this opportunity as well.”
AD Schneider added, “Brett will be a fine addition to our coaching staff. He has plenty of good experience and I know the girls are looking forward to improving this fall under Brett's direction. The team played some of their best golf this past year, so hopefully we will continue to see improvement as we move into the Heart of America Athletic Conference.”
